Do you charge for estimates?
No, we will diagnose your PC free of charge.  We will attempt to diagnose your computer using our remote service client.  This means we will have you install a small piece of software so that we can control and diagnose your computer from our office.  If you have high speed internet this is possible.  If we cannot diagnose remotely we will either dispatch a technician to your home of office or you can make an appointment to drop it off at our office.

How long will it take to fix my computer?
In most cases you computer will be fixed in 24 hours or less.  If it needs replacement parts that we don't have in stock it will take 3-5 business days to fix.

What is a "remote assistance client"?
A remote assistance client is a small piece of software that allows Rocket Internet Security to securely diagnose and repair computers from our office.  This software is not "back door software".  We cannot view or control your computer without YOUR PERMISSION.  We cannot "look over your shoulder" without your permission.  Both parties must accept the connection, it cannot be launched without input from you.  When your service is complete we can remove the software quickly and completely if you wish.  This is the way of the future in computer repair.  This technology allows us to diagnose and repair computers all over the world, and in many cases, the same day you call.  Our customers love that we have the ability to view and fix their computers in a matter of minutes.

What is the Rocket Internet Security software package?

We have two software packages:

  1.  Security Software Suite - $50 installation charge (free with any computer service)

  • Instruction and support with our monthly newsletter
  2.  Productivity Software Suite - $50 installation charge
  • Full Office Software including generic versions of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Paint, Database manager, etc.
  • Photo editing software
  • Video ripping and burning software
  • Audio ripping and burning software
  • Backup software
  • Maintenance and PC performance enhancing software
  • Access to customer self support services on our website
  • Instruction and support with our monthly newsletter
These are our standard packages, but we sell many other software titles.  Make sure to ask your technician about other software titles.

What should I do before I have my computer serviced?

Before having your computer service you should:

Back up your data-this includes:
  1. Pictures
  2. Music
  3. Documents
  4. Bookmarks
  5. Emails and addresses
  6. Product serial keys for any purchased software or games
  7. Any other pertinent data

We can back up your data for $50 and up depending on the amount of data.  We are not responsible for any lost, damaged, or corrupted data during the repair process.  Occassionally viruses and malware will destroy, corrupt or delete data.

Remove all of your media-CDs, DVDs, memory cards, etc.

If you are having a laptop serviced please make sure to give us the power cord and any discs that you have for your product.

If you are having a desktop service please give us the tower and the power cord.

Rocket Internet Security technicians will ask you the above questions when you make your appointment.

How much do you charge to fix computers?
Prices effective June 14, 2009
  • $65 per hour using our secure remote service client - same day service in many cases
  • $75 per hour for in-home service
  • Flat rate of $150 for computer system recovery (includes full security suite and productivity software)
  • Flat rate of $175 for computer reformat and reinstall operating system (includes full security suite and productivity software)
  • Network device installation - $60 for first device, $30 each additional device - wired or wireless, this includes secured installation of routers, gateways, modems, cards, switches, hubs, and gaming consoles.
  • Virus, spyware, malware removal - $60, $90, $100, $120 or $150 depending on level of infestation (includes full security software suite)
  • Data Recovery - $60 and up depending on condition of hard drive and amount of data needing to be recovered
  • Website design and maintenance - $500 and up - please call for additional information
  • Vonage installation and setup - $99 plus hardware (if necessary)
  • Wired and wireless home security and cameras - please call for pricing
